The WÜSTHOF Classic 8-inch Vegetable Knife is a unique and well-constructed kitchen knife. It is made with German steel, making it strong and sharp. The blade features small holes that keep fruit and vegetables from sticking to the knife as you prepare ingredients.

The blade of this knife is unbelievably sharp and the knife must be handled with caution. I managed to cut myself just by putting my finger on the blade! One piece of high carbon stainless steel is used to craft this professional-quality knife and Precision Edge Technology is used to get the knife sharper than most others.

Two unique features on this knife set it apart from other chef's knives: a long ridge and small holes in the knife placed below the ridge. These design elements force food to fall off the knife as you cut. This keeps ingredients from sticking to the knife as you prep them. I found the design of this knife worked exceptionally well for chopping onions. I didn't need to keep stopping to wipe the knife and I was able to chop safer and more efficiently. 

A full tang, meaning the blade extends into the handle, gives the knife even more strength. I found this created a knife with wonderful balance and weight. It felt comfortable in my hand and made chopping most ingredients simple.

I found this WÜSTHOF knife worked well to prep a number of different vegetables and fruits. The sharp blade, and balanced heft of the knife, made it work well for slicing meat, too. This would make a great gift or addition to your own collection of knives.
