Tasty Bite Review

By: The Editors of

Tasty Bite Review"I can't get over how amazing Tasty Bite products are. I was already a fan of their lentils but now after trying the Jaipur Vegetables mix, I have a new favorite. I, like many people I'm sure are always in need of fast dinner ideas, especially during the week. Well Tasty Bite is exactly the answer to that dilemma. This past week I took the Jaipur Vegetables and added some chopped cooked chicken with it, some extra peas and served that alongside some rice. It was perfect! Plus it took me like a max of 15 minutes to make. You can't get better than that. But no only was it quick, it tasted amazing, the sauce was rich and flavorful, but not too spicy, and the hint of paneer cheese really finished it off. I would definitely eat this minus the chicken, but for a non-vegetarian I have no issue adding meat to it!

Later that week I decided to try the Tasty Bite Chunky Chickpeas, they were also a delight. Though not as varied in flavor, this chick pea dish is also delicious when served with rice, but I also took some pita chips and used that to dip into. I highly recommend it! If you're someone who doesn't want too much spice in your food, these chickpeas are also much milder than the Jaipur. I could see how easily the chickpeas could be used for soups, or salads, there's really so many possibilities. One of the best things about all of these Tasty Bite products is that they are all natural and not filled with all the processed junk we find in so much other stuff. Win and win."

"The Rogan Josh Cooking Sauce is a delicious blend of flavors that give any meals just the right amount of spice with a little touch of sweet. It's the perfect way to flavor a simple meal of rice and veggies! It helps make the perfect quick and easy dinner."

"If you are a lover of lentils, you’ll be happy to know that Tasty Bite has a fantastically flavorful heat-and-eat dish that makes for a delightful lunch or dinnertime meal. Their Meal Inspirations Lentil Magic really is magical! Tasty Bite has done all the work for you: They’ve sorted, picked, cleaned, and cooked up a batch of brown lentils, added in veggies, and seasoned the mix liberally with garlic, cumin, and cardamom. There really is nothing left for you to do but heat, eat, and enjoy! The texture is just right, the flavor divine, and the easy-open pouch is the perfect size to share…or not!"

"I loved these Madras Lentils with red beans, spices and creamy tomatoes. So easy to prepare, just cut the pouch and pour into pan. Really, it doesn’t get easier than this. It wasn’t overly spicy, so good for someone who is new to Indian food. It goes great with rice, in a pita or even to dip chips into. I added some garbanzo beans and turkey sausage to bring even more protein and it blended perfectly. So these Madras Lentils are pretty versatile as well. I’d make it again in a heartbeat. Yum!"

"I cooked some vegetables in the Rogan Josh Simmer Sauce, and it was delicious--just the right amount of flavor without over powering the vegetables. If you're not into spicy food, beware: the package promises a "daring fire dance," and boy did it deliver!"

"When I tried the Tasty Bite Pad Thai sauce over a vegetable and shrimp stir-fry I made, it really made the dish. The sauce added some heat but wasn't overwhelmingly spicy. It delivered the tangy, peanut flavor I love in Pad Thai."

"Zesty Lentils and Peas - I loved that it microwaves in its own pouch and is ready in 90 seconds, as it doesn't get any more convenient than that! The pouch was extremely aromatic, but the smell was not overpowering. It had a mild flavor that even those who don't ejnoy Indian food would like. Plus, it has two different types of chickpeas, which I thought was cool! Overall, the Zesty Lentils and Peas makes for a super convenient lunch, or as a mild protein-filled side dish."

"Brown Rice - It cooked nice and evenly in the plastic pouch in which it came. The rice is wholesome, long-grain brown rice. It doesn’t get mushy while it cooks in the pouch, it cooks perfectly. It tasted as brown rice should taste, natural and hearty. It’s great with any protein. I particularly enjoyed eating it as a side dish with broiled chicken. It’s a dieter’s dream, as it’s super healthy and doesn’t take long to make!"

"Ginger Lentil Rice - I liked the complexity of spices - Not too hot, not too mild. I probably could have been even better had I mixed it in with the chicken dish I had. As for the tasting, I had it as a side item, and was a tad on the dry side. Some like it this way, as it was not heavy. I would have it again, while also mixing with chicken or other poultry."

"Zany Multigrain is absolutely scrumptious. Hearty whole grains and soy beans taste incredible when seasoned with tomatoes, onions, garlic and spices. Mix it in with some chicken for a filling, healthy and delicious lunch that's both spicy and flavorful!"

"Delightfully fragrant and slightly sweet, Tasty Bite’s Channa Masala is the perfect lunch. The easy-to-open, quick-heat pouch makes it an easy meal to bring to work and microwave for a delicious, vegan meal. Accompanied by Tandoori nan, the Channa Masala is pleasingly filling and quite flavorful. The mélange of herbs and spices bring a slightly exotic, yet surprisingly comforting flavor to the chickpeas, and the texture is just right. I think Tasty Bite products will now be a great addition to my pantry on a regular basis!"
