Healthier Without Wheat Review

Healthier Without Wheat
Gifted By: Innate Health Publishing

Reviewed by Natalie Terchek, Editor of

Millions of people have bad reactions to bread, pasta and other foods containing wheat, but they don't understand why. Healthier Without Wheat by Dr. Steven Wangen is written to help pinpoint this problem.

This book discusses the difference between celiac disease, wheat allergies, non-celiac gluten intolerance and gluten sensitivity. Dr. Wangen assembled this information from researchers, patient interviews, clinical studies and his own personal experiences. With so many different health problems related to gluten, it can be difficult and overwhelming trying to sort your specific problem on your own. Many of the symptoms are similar, and even doctors have a hard time telling them all apart. However, this book easily guides you through the different diseases and reactions, giving you a complete basic understanding of how everything works.

Healthier Without Wheat is no substitute for a trip to the doctor's office, however it is a good resource to consult if you would like to educate and prepare yourself before visiting a physician about any gluten intolerance issues. It clearly explains what kind of tests are needed, important questions to ask your doctor, what to do once you've been diagnosed and complications that may arise during the healing process.

We recommend this book for patients and anyone in the medical field – it's very informative, engaging and enlightening.
