Fruit Chutney Turkey

Do away with bland turkey by adding this delicious topping to your thanksgiving bird. For the best way to cook a turkey follow these easy turkey cooking instructions and you'll be on your way to enjoying a fruity and savory treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds turkey breast, boneless
  • 1/2 cup chutney
  • 8 3/4 ounces canned peaches, chopped (save liquid)
  • 8 1/4 ounces canned crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 tablespoon currants
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sugar free honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Roast turkey according to package directions. Wrap in foil and let stand for about 13 minutes.
     
  2. While turkey sits, prepare Bombay Chutney Sauce. In medium saucepan, combine chutney, peaches and syrup, pineapple, currants, sugar-free honey and crushed red pepper. Blend in cornstarch. Over medium heat, bring to a boil. Cook and stir until thickened (about 2 minutes).
     
  3. Remove foil from turkey. Spoon 1/3 cup Bombay Chutney Sauce over turkey. Slice turkey and serve with remaining sauce.
