Low Carb Sausage Balls

For an easy meatball recipe fit for a low carb diet, make this Low Carb Sausage Balls recipe submitted by reader Kay Jenkins. Instead of bread crumbs or flour, this baked meatball recipe uses coconut flour and flax meal. Plus, this low carb dish can be made with just 5 ingredients.

Cooking Time25 min

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 1 cup flax meal
  • 10 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup water (optional to moisten if needed)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
     
  2. Shape into walnut sized balls and place on a cookie sheet.
     
  3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
