Cheesy Apple Casserole

It might sound strange, but this Cheesy Apple Casserole is to die for! Silky Velveeta complements the sweet-tart apples, making this one of the best Velveeta recipes, as well as one of the best apple casserole recipes ever!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine or low fat butter substitute, softened
  • 1 cup Splenda granulated sweetener or other white sugar substitute
  • 8 ounces reduced fat Velveeta cheese
  • 3/4 cup whole grain flour
  • 2 cans (16-ounce) sliced apples (not apple pie filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
     
  2. Beat butter substitue and sweetener in a mixing bowl until smooth.
     
  3. Add reduced fat Velveeta cheese and combine well.
     
  4. Add flour and mix well. Batter will be stiff.
     
  5. Arrange apples in layers in a lightly greased 1.5-quart baking dish.
     
  6. Spread the Velveeta mixture over the apples, covering well.
     
  7. Bake 30-45 minutes.
