Best Ever Dump Cake

A dump cake recipe is a baker's best friend because all you do is dump the ingredients into a dish and bake. This Best Ever Dump Cake is a healthy baker's best friend because it uses some smart ingredient substitutions, making for a healthier pineapple dump cake.

  • 1 can organic crushed pineapple
  • 1 can sugar free cherry pie filling
  • 1 package Naturally Nora Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or both
  • 1 cup butter substitute, melted (you can use butter or oil if you so choose)


  1. Dump cherry pie filling and pineapple into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the top. Add chopped nuts and coconut on top. Pour melted butter substitute over everything.
  3. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree F oven for 1 hour. Great served warm with frozen yogurt.

Do you drain the pineapple???

If you want a drier cake, drain the pineapple. Otherwise, be sure to include the juice. Hope this helps! - FaveHealthyRecipes Editors

I have a recipe similar to this and it calls for 1 cup coconut.nutrition on this--using a sugar free cake mixpineapple in own juicecoconutcant believe its not butter light a piece 2 x 2 = 168 calories-- 20g carbs--182mg sodium.

How much cocoanut???
