Baked Turkey Biscuit

Looking for a great biscuit bake recipe? Here's an easy recipe you can use to make a delicious meal with leftover turkey from your Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone will love this baked turkey biscuit.

Cooking Time: 30 min

Ingredients
  • 1 can low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 chopped small onion
  • 10 ounces package frozen peas and carrots, thawed
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 12 ounces can evaporated milk
  • 3 cups cooked turkey, cubed
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces can refrigerated low fat flaky biscuits
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. With nonstick cooking spray, coat 2-quart casserole dish.
     
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine onion, pears, carrorts and low sodium broth; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.
     
  3. In a medium bowl, combine cornstarch and evaporated milk; stir until cornstarch is dissolved. Slowly stir the milk mixture into the broth mixture. Add parsley, pepper,turkey and sage. Continue cooking until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Pour into casserole dish.
     
  4. Place biscuits on top of filling in casserole dish. Bake until biscuits are golden brown and filling is bubbly (about 25 to 30 minutes).
