Summer Fruit Smoothie

Summertime is the perfect time to drink a yogurt smoothie. This cool, chilled drink will definitely fight off any heat wave. This drink will make you smile, not perspire!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup 100% natural fruit juice
  • 1 1/2 cups ripe fruit, diced (bananas, berries, peaches or pineapple)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3/4 cup crushed ice
Instructions
  1. In a blender, combine the first four ingredients and blend until smooth.
     
  2. Add the ice; blend again.
     
  3. Pour in a glass, garnish with a fresh berry.

 

Notes

Variations

Mix bananas, pineapple, cream of coconut, and crushed ice. Layer fresh strawberries blended with honey and crushed ice, whipped cream, and blueberries blended with crushed ice.
