Slow Cooked Chicken with Soy Sauce and Brown Sugar

With just five healthy ingredients, you can have a delicious healthy chicken recipe that will please everyone with this slow cooker chicken recipe. Use low sodium soy sauce to make this slow cooker recipe even healthier.

Serves: 6

Ingredients
  • 6 skinless drumsticks with thighs attached
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
Instructions
  1. Rinse chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
     
  2. Place chicken in a slow cooker.
     
  3. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and tomato sauce.
     
  4. Pour sauce over chicken.
     
  5. Cover and cook on low about five hours or until chicken is tender.
