Guilt Free French Silk Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust (from 15-oz. pkg.)
  • 3 ounce unsweetened chocolate, diced into pieces
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar substitute
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup thawed, frozen fat-free egg product
  • 1/2 cup non-fat whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
     
  2. Prepare pie crust as directed on package for one-crust baked shell using 9-inch pie pan. Bake until golden brown at 450 degrees F (around 10 minutes).
     
  3. Cool 30 minutes.
     
  4. Melt chocolate in small saucepan over low heat; cool.
     
  5. In bowl, beat margarine until fluffy.
     
  6. Gradually add sugar substitute, beating until light and fluffy.
     
  7. Add cooled chocolate and vanilla extract; blend well.
     
  8. Add egg product, beating at high speed for 2 minutes gradually. Beat until mixture is smooth and fluffy.
     
  9. Pour into cooled baked shell. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
     
  10. Top with non-fat whipped cream. Store in refrigerator.
