No Guilt Pear Crumble

Ingredients

  • 3 firm pears, sliced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Grated rind of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup sugar substitute suitable for baking
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup soft whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar substitute, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup butter substitute suitable for baking, melted
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • Light whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Combine pear, lemon juice, lemon rind and sugar in preheated electric skillet or baking pan.
     
  2. Mix together nutmeg, bread crumbs, brown sugar substitute, butter substitute and nuts, and sprinkle over top of pear mixture.
     
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes. Serve with light whipped cream.
