Garlic Flavored Almonds

This creative snack recipe is ideal for all diets because it has no salt, no sugar and is low in fat. The garlic and the almonds form a potent one-two flavor punch that will have you making this creative snack recipe again and again.

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces almonds, with skin
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
     
  2. Put oil and garlic into a mixing bowl. Add almonds and toss.
     
  3. Transfer to a roasting pan into which the nuts will fit in one single layer. Roast for 20 minutes or until almonds begin to color. Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Notes

Substitute spray olive oil or corn oil for a drier consistency. Store in air-tight container, preferably tin.
