Sardine Buttery Spread

Get more healthy fish into your diet with this sneaky fish butter recipe. The saltiness of the sardines combined with the creaminess of a buttery spread makes this sauce ideal in a variety of applications.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter or butter substitute
  • 1/2 cup sardines, minced
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 4 drops onion juice
Instructions
  1. Combine butter substitute, sardines, lemon juice and onion juice.
     
  2. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
Notes

Variations: Substitute herring, bloaters, crawfish, lobster, smoked salmon, whitefish or anchovies for the sardines if desired.
