What it is: The No Carbs After 5 PM Diet is like most low-carb diet plans; restrict carbohydrate intake in order to lose some pounds. While our body needs carbohydrates to function properly, it also converts carbs into fats stored in our body. Also known as the Carbs Curfew Diet, this plan is one of the most effective in the low carbohydrate diet family.

How it works: To follow this plan, diets are cutting off the intake of calories after 5:00 PM. This means the body will use stored fats as the body’s source of energy for the rest of the evening and will not be taking in any new fats to store.

What you do: Dieters following No Carbs After 5 PM are required to eat more proteins as an alternative to the energy loss from the carbohydrates. The diet lasts for 28 days and followers eat three normal meals a day of food they desire. Snacks are restricted to vegetables and fruits and it is very important to drink skim milk everyday and complete an exercise goal.

Benefits: The No Carbs After 5 PM is a healthy life adjustment that will increase dieters chance at weight loss without much meal restriction.

Downside: Rules must be followed or this plan will not work. Also, this is not a diet plan for those late-night snackers out there!
