Pear Butter

For an easy and delicious way to use up old pears, make this great recipe for Pear Butter. Creamy and yummy, this fruit recipe makes for a great low calorie snack option.

Ingredients
  • 12 pears, peeled, cored and minced
  • 2 cups sweet wine
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 ounces dark honey
Instructions
  1. Combine pears, wine, water and honey in a saucepan, and bring to a boil.
     
  2. Simmer mixture for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until all the liquid has disappeared.
     
  3. Let cool, and transfer into a jar.
Notes

Add a little more honey if you desire a sweeter taste.
