If you are looking for tasty recipes that won't break your diet, then The Skinnytaste Cookbook will be perfect for you! Written by one our favorite healthy recipe bloggers, Gina Homolka, this cookbook has 150 crazy good recipes. The recipes come to life with gorgeous photography throughout.

 

The cookbook is divided into different chapters with relevant recipes. I like that the cookbook began with a chapter called Skinny Basics. This served as an introduction to healthy eating. Gina shares all of her favorite tips and tricks. She highlights how dieting is different than eating a well-balanced, delicious meal. I like her approach because you don't have to sacrifice eating great food to stay healthy.

 

I enjoyed many of the recipes this cookbook had to offer. They all include accurate nutritional information, which is quite helpful if you are watching your calorie intake. There are also fun facts scattered across the book which I loved. One of the best parts of this cookbook, is that each recipe is denoted as vegetarian, gluten-free, quick, slow cooker, and/or freezer-friendly, right at the top of the recipe and in the beginning of each chapter.

 

Some of my favorite recipes from the cookbook included, Slow Cooker Chicken Enchilada Soup (pg. 64), Skinny Green Goddess Dip (pg. 119), and the Mongolian Beef and Broccoli (pg. 190). Make any of these recipes and your guests will be begging for seconds. This cookbook is a great investment for any beginner or advanced cook.
