What it is: Now, there doesn’t seem to be much advice from MTV’s The Hills’ stars that you should actually listen to but you can’t deny that these young women have great bodies. And surprisingly, the way they maintain their physique is actually a healthy regimen of diet and exercise! Who would’ve thought?!

How it works: The Hills Diet requires that followers try and stick to eating only organic food when possible and stay away from carbs such as rice, sugar, bread, and pasta. And dieters should try to only consume proteins like fish and stay clear of other meats. Also, a strict circuit exercise plan is suggested for almost every day of the week.

What you do: A typical day of food on the Hills Diet consists of three meals and three snacks. Breakfast should be something like whole wheat bread and peanut butter, a protein shake for lunch, snacks like apple slices or almonds, and a healthy dinner of steamed veggies and a lean protein. An exercise goal with three days focused on strength training and three days focused on cardiovascular training is also important to the Hills Diet and should be followed closely.

Benefits: Unlike most celebrity-endorsed diets, this one is actually healthy for you! And since the exercise plan is only for six days, you can consider one day a week a cheat day and still stick to your dieting.

Downsides: The Hills Diet may be considered a little strict for some folks and gym memberships can get expensive.
