Easy Chocolate Pudding Cake

This easy chocolate pudding cake recipe tastes so good, your friends and loved ones will not believe that you know how to make a chocolate cake with this much flavor. Pair a slice of chocolate cake with a nice scoop of frozen yogurt.

Cooking Time: 45 min

Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour, white whole wheat or all-purpose
  • 3/4 cup sugar substitute suitable for baking
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons light vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Combine flour, sugar substitute, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. Add milk and oil; mix well. Pour into ungreased 9x9x2" pan.
     
  3. Combine brown sugar and second 3 Tbsp. cocoa in small bowl; spread evenly over batter in pan. Pour hot water evenly over mixture.
     
  4. Bake 45 minutes.
     
  5. Cut into pieces while hot; spoon sauce from pan over each serving.
     
  6. Serve with ice cream, if desired.
