Fresh Homemade Tomato Soup

This recipe shows you how to create a huge batch of fresh tomato soup for enjoying now and freezing or canning for later. You can adjust the ingredients for smaller batches.

Ingredients

  • 7 quarts ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 7 stalks celery, chopped
  • 7 sprigs parsley, chopped
  • green peppers, to taste
  • 5 medium onions, chopped
  • 7 whole cloves
  • 7 bay leaves
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 3/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Combine first seven ingredients in saucepan, cook until tender.
     
  2. Press through sieve. Bring to a boil.
     
  3. Combine remaining ingredients with 1 cup hot water, blend into a smooth paste.
     
  4. Add to tomato mixture, stir until well thickened. Pour into hot sterilized jars, seal.

I don't know about this recipe sterile jars,i need recipes for 2 or 3 peoples.
